Introducing Exciting New Features in 1factory!
The 1factory team is excited to announce the release of new features and enhancements designed to elevate your quality management experience—shaped by your valuable feedback!
Below, we have highlighted the key changes. To help you get the most out of these improvements, we are also hosting a 30-minute webinar to walk you through the updates and answer any questions you may have. We hope to see you there!
Webinar Details:
1. Calibration Templates1factory now supports Calibration Templates, allowing you to create and store standardized calibration requirements for your gages. These templates serve as master records, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in your in-house calibration process.
How It Works:
-
Create a Calibration Template – Define parameters such as gage type, test function, tolerances, and required master gages.
-
Assign Templates to Gages – Apply predefined templates to specific gages from the Gage Facts page.
-
Conduct Calibrations – Use assigned templates to perform in-house calibrations efficiently and accurately.
Note: 1factory has migrated all previously created in-house calibration templates, originally created manually via the Calibration function, into the Orange Calibration Templates Tile. These templates have been assigned a default name of "Template #", which you can update as needed. 2. Measurement ProgressTo ensure complete and timely inspections, we've added a Measurement Progress Bar to both the Manufacturing and Receiving Inspection Lists.
This feature provides a quick, at-a-glance view of inspection progress, helping you stay on top of quality checks and address issues promptly. How It Works:
-
Visual Progress Tracking – The bar fills as required measurements are recorded.
-
Highlights Failing Measurements – Clearly indicates if any measurements are out of tolerance.
-
Hover Over for Detailed Insights - Hover your cursor over the Measurement Progress Bar to see a breakdown of how many passing and failing measurements have been recorded within the inspection.

3. New Inspection Status: Accepted with DeviationWe've introduced a new inspection status "Accepted with Deviation" in the Manufacturing and Receiving Inspection Manage tabs.
This status is used when measured parts deviate from specifications, but the lot is still acceptable, or when documenting deviations from standard requirements is necessary. How It Works:
- When an inspection includes parts that do not fully conform to specifications but are still approved, the "Accepted with Deviation" status allows you to document and track these deviations.
- This status is only available to users with Manage Inspection permissions to ensure controlled use.
- Before closing the inspection, a mandatory comment must be entered, providing a clear explanation of the deviation.
- Once saved, the inspection is logged with this status, maintaining full traceability for audits and quality records.
