You may periodically need to move gages from the Tool Crib out to the factory floor and back, or from the Tool Crib to a Calibration Vendor and back. We recommend that every movement of a gage be recorded in the 1factory system, so that you always know the latest location of a gage.
Issuing / Returning Gages:
Moving gages is a simple process. First, click into the "gage transactions" tile:
Then click "issue gages", and see the slide out that appears. All you need to fill in here are the relevant fields for your gage transaction, be that the Location, Employee, Machine, Job, or Operation:
Then you fill in just the gage ID's that will be checked out, and the rest of the gage info will automatically populate, including whether the gage is currently calibrated or available (returned or issued):
Once you click "Go", these gages will now be checked out and marked as "issued". You can see a list of all the gages that have been issued, and where they currently reside.
Once you are ready to return the gages to their default location/owner, you can go to the "returned" tab (within the same gage transaction section). Then, just repeat the same process by typing in the gage IDs that you want to return.
There is also a function called "gage kits", which can be used to check out/in set groups of gages. This is not by default added to every account, but you can reach out to support@1factory.com for more information.
