Prerequisites
Before you can upload the list of Part Masters, you need to first go into settings and set the "Create Part Masters on the Fly" setting to "No":
This setting essentially requires a part master to be existing in 1factory before a Plan can be made for that part number. (The setting is turned to "yes" by default, which means a new part master will be dynamically created every time a plan is created for a new part number).
Once set to "no", you'll be able to see the Excel Import button on the left-hand sidebar on the List of Part Masters page.
Importing the Part Masters
1factory supports the bulk import of Part Master data and Bills of Materials (BoMs) from xlsx files.
The import file (sample attached below) has two tabs:
1. List of Parts
2. Bills of Materials (BoMs)
Every single part must be listed in the "List of Parts" tab, and then multi-level BoM relationships can be defined in the BoMs tab.
Please see the sample excel (xlsx) file attached below. You must match the file format for a successful upload.
