The simplest way to create a Quality Control Plan is by adding specifications manually).
- Navigate to Plans (by clicking on Plans on the home page or on the left-hand navigation)
- Click on + New Plan
- Select create a plan from scratch
- On the slide-out, enter the Part Number and Revision
- Once you are in the Plan, you can add Part Description, Customer and Supplier information by simply clicking in the field and typing in the information. (Note: There is no "save button", as data is auto-saved)
- You can also edit Part Number and Revision or any other field if needed.
- To add a new specification, click on + New spec
- In the slide out, enter the characteristic type, or select it from the dropdown list.
- Enter how many places this spec will need to be measured on the part.
- Type in the characteristic name, for example "linear dimension" or "diameter". Use auto-complete to select a value from the list.
- Enter a Nominal and the +/- Tol values, or enter the Min and Max values.
- All other fields are optional.
- Click on Save to save the spec and add another.
- When you are done adding specs, you can always click on the back (<-) arrow on the slide-out to return to the Quality Control Plan
