Overview
The Mfg. Yield tile in 1factory provides production floor teams with a real-time view of manufacturing inspection performance, specifically highlighting out-of-tolerance measurements over time. Yield directly impacts output quality and capacity utilization, identifying recurring failures early allows operators and quality engineers to intervene before defects, scrap, or rework accumulate.
Important Note: The Yield Chart applies to Manufacturing Inspections only. FAIs and Receiving Inspections are excluded. All statistics reflect failed (out-of-tolerance) measurement data.
Accessing the Yield Chart
Step 1: Navigate to the Mfg. Yield Tile
From the main dashboard, navigate to the Analytics tab and click the Mfg. Yield tile to open the Yield Chart view.
Step 2: Set the Date Range
Use the From and To date selectors to define the time period you want to analyze. This filters all yield data to the selected range.
Step 3: Select the X-Axis Interval (Day / Week)
Choose whether to display data grouped by Day or by Week. Once all selections are configured, click the Applied button to render the chart.
Step 4: Identify Failed Measurements
The chart displays stacked bar columns for each time interval. The red section of each bar represents out-of-tolerance (failed) measurements. Click the red section of any bar to drill down into that interval's failure data.
Step 5: Review Failed Measurement Details
Clicking a red bar section navigates to a filtered list of Manufacturing Inspections with failed measurements for that period. From here, teams can investigate specific inspections, identify trends by part or operation, and take corrective action as needed.
Typical Use Case: A quality engineer monitoring a high-volume machining line sets a weekly view to track yield trends. A dip in yield mid-week prompts a drill-down revealing repeated failures on a specific diameter feature across multiple jobs, indicating a tooling wear issue requiring immediate attention.
