To Add a New User with Email:
- Click on the down arrow sign next to your name in the top right hand corner of the system
- Click on Users
- Click on the green Add a New User button
- Fill out the User's first name, last name, and telephone number
- Enter the user's email address. This will be their User Name.
- Assign the user a role (user, editor or admin)
- Click Save.
- This will trigger an automated email to the newly added user. The user must click on the link provided in the email to set up his/her password and access the system.
To Add a New User without Email:
- Click on the down arrow sign next to your name in the top right hand corner of the system
- Click on Users
- Click on the green Add a New User button
- Fill out the User's first name, last name, and telephone
- For users without email addresses, create a user name in email format e.g. username@company.com.
- Then set the "Has email" to No.
- Assign the user a role (user, editor or admin)
- Click Save.
- Once the user has been added, you can generate a temporary password for the user by clicking on "Generate Temp Password"
To inactivate a user:
- Simply select the user by clicking on the user row in the Users table
- In the slide-out set status to inactive
- Save
Important User Set-up Rules:
- Your User Name will be your Work Email Address. e.g. Joe.Smith@company.com
- User names (i.e. email addresses) must be unique. Two users cannot have the same email address.
- When a new user is added, 1factory sends the sign up link to both the Admin and the New User via email.
- If there are multiple Admins, each Admin receives the sign up link.
