Thank you all for trusting us to solve some of your most challenging manufacturing data problems. And thank you also for the effort you’ ve taken to provide us detailed product feedback. With your support, we’ ve built and delivered many new features and product enhancements over the last three months. The most important changes are listed below. We will also be hosting a webinar to walk you through these changes and answer your questions. Webinar: August 2023: New Features Release Date: August 24th, 2023. Time (USA): 2:00 pm EDT, 1:00 pm CDT, 11:00 am PDT Registration Link: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_a4jtbtw9ReGGOoJRthV2egNote: 1factory webinars are always recorded and can viewed on demand here Release-History
1. Define a Feature with both Attribute and Variable Data Types (Pass/Fail & Numeric) Several of you requested the ability to define a feature as Numeric for First Articles (e.g. verified on a CMM), then Pass/Fail for on-going In-Process Inspections (e.g. verified with a go/no-go gage) and Numeric again for Final Inspections (e.g. verified on a CMM). This is achieved by associating the Data Type with the Inspection Type as shown below.

2. Enhancements to the Spec Library Feature
We have made a few enhancements to the Spec Library feature, driven by valuable feedback from our previous feature release webinar. These improvements include:
Creation of Spec Library for Receiving Plans: You now have the capability to establish a Spec Library specifically tailored for Receiving Plans.
Multiple Import Capability: Another significant enhancement is the capability to import a Spec Library multiple times. This proves especially useful, for instance, when a Port Spec is referenced in various areas across the drawing.

3. Inspections by Operation
After numerous visits to diverse manufacturing plants, it became evident that there was a need for improvements to cater to organizations that rely on a complex bill of operations for their parts production. It was not uncommon to encounter job travelers with over 20 operational steps that also would require multiple machines to run any one of the given operations.
To enhance the users efficiency in such situations, 1factory has built a configurable setting that allows the users to conduct inspections at the operational level, while also enabling them to specify the array of machines involved in producing parts for a particular operation. The data amassed during these inspections is then traceable, facilitating a clear link back to the corresponding operation and the machine(s) responsible for part production.

4. Concurrent Data Entry (Auto Refresh)
We're excited to introduce a significant enhancement to the 1factory platform for data integrity, ensuring smooth usage with multiple machines within a single operation. This update eliminates the risk of overwritten inspection data.
How It Works:
At 1factory, we prioritize a reliable and efficient inspection process. The Data Integrity feature ensures data security and seamless collaboration across multiple machines.
5. Improvements to InspectionXpert (IX) Plan Import
We've improved the IX plan import tool, making it even more convenient. Now, you can effortlessly attach the XML file and the ballooned print from IX during the plan creation process. 1factory will seamlessly auto-generate drawing balloons based on the specifications outlined in the IX files.

6. New Gage Type: Fixtures
We have added in a new calibration category called "Fixture". A Fixture can be used during an inspection, however it does not carry a calibration requirement.
Calibration Categories:
- Standard: Utilized to verify product conformance; requires calibration.
- Master: Utilized for calibrating other measurement devices; requires calibration.
- Reference: Unsuitable for product conformance checks; exempt from calibration requirement.
- Fixture: Utilized during inspections; calibration not mandatory
7. Additional Admin Authorization
To cater to customers who need E-Signatures to comply with 21 CFR Part 11 regulations, we've introduced a new feature. Admin-level users now possess the capability to sign off on behalf of another user during inspections.
This effectively addresses situations where a user might leave the premises without completing their sign-off. Instead of leaving the inspection in a pending state, an Admin can step in and provide the necessary sign-off, ensuring a seamless workflow.
8. Gage Labels
We have updated the Barcode label to include the Calibration Date and the Calibration Due date.
9. Enhancements to the Part Master Optional Field
We have enhanced our platform to allow you to define up to two optional Part Master fields directly within your company settings.
10. AS13002 Sampling
Introducing our latest advancement: enhanced sampling tables aligned with the AS13002 standard. Easily accessible through the Sampling Rule field, simply input "Ppk" to select the necessary sampling rule for the feature.
And, as always, we are available to answer any questions. We also welcome any feedback related to these or other features. You can reach us at the email or number below.
