1: New Inspection Slide Out
The process of identifying the supplier during inspection creation has been simplified, eliminating instances where lots were inspected without an associated supplier. Now, with the enhanced New Inspection slide-out, you can select the supplier before creating the inspection. Additionally, for users with the "Enforce Supplier Approval" setting enabled, the supplier status will be displayed before inspection creation if any conditional status, expired qualifications, or certifications are present.
2: Lot & Switching Details
New label: In inspection, the tab “Lot” is changed to “Lot & Switching” to offer more details and integrate historical inspection lot table.
The table has the last 10 completed inspections for the selected part number and supplier from the New Inspection slide-out. With the new information in the table, users can now make effective risk-based decisions on whether to implement a Lot Switching rule for the current lot.
Note: The historical inspection table is static, so any changes made to an inspection originally captured in the table will not be reflected in the current inspection. To reflect these changes, a new inspection must be created.
3: Lot Switching Rules
Utilizing the data presented in the inspection table, your organization may find it necessary to implement a "Lot Switching" rule.
For example, if there have been 5 consecutive accepted lots with no defects, you could consider "Reducing" the sampling frequency. Conversely, if one of the past five lots was rejected, you could opt to "Tighten" the sampling frequency. To change the switching rule on the lot, simply choose from the drop down provided on the Lot & Switching tab.
- Reduced: Specifications using Z1.4 sampling will look up sample sizes from the reduced sampling tables. Specifications using C=0 sampling will use an AQL one step higher. For example, C=0 1.0 becomes C=0 1.5.
- Tightened: Specifications using Z1.4 sampling will look up sample sizes from the tightened sampling tables. Specifications using C=0 sampling will use an AQL one step lower. For example, C=0 1.0 becomes C=0 0.65.
Our customers rock! This functionality is only made possible because of the continuous feedback provided by our customers. Without their valuable input, these improvements wouldn't have been achievable. THANK YOU!!
