Usability Improvements, New CMM imports, and Deviations.
Earlier today, we deployed a number of user interface (screen design) improvements along with some new functionality.
1. Work Instructions Indicator:
In the old design, there was no way of knowing which features had associated work instructions. We've now added a work instruction indicator (the wrench icon), to each feature, to make it very obvious when a feature has an associated work instruction. Here's the new design:
- A feature without work instructions:
- A feature with work instructions:
2. Numeric and Pass/Fail:
We've renamed Variable to Numeric (NUM), and Attribute to Pass/Fail (P/F) for ease of training and communication. This does not change the underlying functionality.
3. Brighter Pass and Fail indicators:
We've improved the colors to make it easy to spot a feature that failed.
4. Consistent Use of Engineering Symbols:
All plan and inspection data entry screens, as well as reports now use a consistent set of engineering symbols. For example:
5. Additional CMM Import Formats:
1factory now supports CMM data import from MicroVu and Oasis Optical Inspection equipment.
6. Deviations:
And finally, we've added a new NCR type for Deviations. Use this NCR Type to record Deviations requested by Suppliers (Detected At = Supplier), or Deviations required in Manufacturing (Detected At = Manufacturing), or Deviations required to accept a lot during Receiving Inspection (Detected At = Receiving).
Note: You may need to reload/refresh the inspection data entry pages for some of the screen changes to take effect. Please click the highlighted circular arrow to reload the page as shown below:
