CAPA/8D for Audit Findings, Multi-Org, and SCAR Enhancements
On Tuesday, January 22, we will deploy the following new features:
1. CAPA / 8D for Audit Findings: A number of you requested the ability to respond to an Audit Finding in a CAPA/8D format. Now, when you create an Audit Finding, you can select the format you want to work in: - NCR format (with Problem Description and Corrective Action), OR - CAPA / 8D format (with Problem Description, Corrective Action, Root-Cause Analysis, ... through Effectiveness Verification)
We've also added a Reports tab for Audit Findings. The report format changes with the selection above.
2. Multi-Org: We've added the ability to separate data by Org or Division. Here's a visual explanation of how Multi-Org works in 1factory: https://1factoryhelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360021971031-Partitioning-Data-by-Org-or-Division
3. SCARs: This week, we've also finished work on a long-pending request to improve the SCAR workflow. In the new design, a Customer (i.e. Buyer of Parts) can create a SCAR and assign to a Supplier (i.e. Maker of Parts) in one of two ways:
SCAR workflow 1: If Buyer and Supplier are connected over 1factory, then the SCAR will show up within the Supplier's 1factory account under the newly added Customer tab . The supplier can now respond to the SCAR from within 1factory, and the Buyer can approve or reject the response.
SCAR workflow 2: If the Buyer and Supplier are NOT connected over 1factory, then the SCAR gets emailed to the Supplier (the existing process). The supplier responds via email (i.e. responds outside 1factory), and the Buyer can attach the response to the SCAR and close it.
4. ANSI Z1.4 Level 1 Plan:We've added the ANSI Z1.4 Level 1 plan to the list of sampling plans the system recognizes. 1factory can now calculate sample sizes based on both the Level I and Level II plans, as well as the C=0 plans (in addition to a number of company-specific/custom sampling plans). 5. Reports: Data Rounding per ASTM E29-13:We've added a setting to activate data rounding per ASTM E29. Note that rounding is only applied to the output report (it does not change pass/fail), and requires that you specify the data precision in terms of the number of places after the decimal point. 6. Reports: Setting Data Precision:You can now control the data precision for each feature in your report. For example, you may need have recorded a percentage as 97.1345%, but you may only want to report the first two decimal places i.e. 97.13%. 7. Reports: Excluding Data:You can now select a row of data from the spreadsheet or matrix view, and click on the "exclude" button to remove that row from all reports and from all calculations. 8. SPC: Western Electric Control Rules:We've moved the SPC functionality from a setting controlled by 1factory to a setting controlled by each company. Please call us to schedule training if you decide to use this functionality. 9. Mitutoyo CMM File Import:We've made improvements to the parser for Mitutoyo CMMs to resolve some open issues.
