NEW FEATURE & RELATED CHANGES
Earlier this week, we deployed the following product enhancements.
1. Mark All: Pass/Fail:
For many of our customers, one common challenge is the need to mark multiple parts as Pass or Fail. Marking 100 parts or 15000 parts individually as Pass or Fail is not a productive use of time.
We've therefore added a shortcut to mark multiple parts as Pass or Fail. Here's how it works. Please read carefully.
Case 1: Marking all parts Pass / Fail
-- Select the column (the feature you want to mark), and click on Mark All
-- In the slide out, select Pass, and enter the quantity inspected
-- If you have defined the lot size and a sampling rule, 1factory will recommend the sample size in the quantity inspected field. In the example above, the sample size is 15,000. This is only a suggested quantity. You will need to enter the exact quantity inspected.
-- IMPORTANT: You must enter the actual quantity inspected in that field. For the example above, you may have inspected only 12,000 parts. So enter only the quantity inspected.
Case 2: Marking a few parts as Fail, and the remaining as Pass
If you inspected 15000 parts, and 3 failed, you can first mark which parts failed, and then you can Mark the remaining as Pass. You can also do this the other way round, by marking all as Pass, and then setting the three parts individually to fail.
-- Step 1: Mark All as Pass
-- Step 2: Mark the failed parts (individually)
Note: In both cases, you will enter the quantity inspected for Mark All.
2. Screen Layout Changes:
To accommodate this new feature set, we had to rearrange other features on the data entry screen (in the spreadsheet view).
-- Row tags (exclude and first piece) are now combined under a single button. Clicking the button opens a slide-out where you can select the appropriate tag.
-- Excel Import and Export are now combined under a single button. Clicking the button opens a slide-out where you can select the required action (import / export).
