Over the last two months, we've deployed a large number of new features and product enhancements.
1. Unique Identifiers: Each QC Plan and Inspection now has a unique identifier. This identifier can be found on the Manage tab, and will print out in the header for all Inspection Reports. This creates a one-to-one link between output reports and system records, and helps with traceability and compliance.
You can search for Inspection Records by Unique Identifier. Simply type the unique identifier number into the search box on the List of Plans or List of Inspections pages, and the system will retrieve the associated record.
2. Automated CMM Upload: We've had CMM auto-parsing for a number of years. We are now adding CMM auto-upload.
For factories running a large quantity and/or a large variety of parts through their CMMs, we've added the capability to automatically upload CMM files from each CMM as soon as these files are created. This eliminates the need for a user to select and upload CMM files for each inspection.
[Note: Auto-Uploads are included at no extra cost for "Enterprise Plan" customers and "Manufacturing Plan" customers with 50 or more subscription users. Other customers may optionally add-on the Automated CMM upload capability for a nominal annual fee.]
3. Measurement Completion Indicator We've added a measurement completion indicator which turns the column header: -- Green if all measurements are entered, and they all pass -- Red if all measurements are entered, but one or more have failed
4. Data Entry Report
We have added a Data Entry Form under the Inspection Reports tab. Print this form to collect data off-line (on paper) and then transfer to 1factory.
5. Sharing / Un-sharing We've made improvements to how Data Sharing works. You can share data with your customers in two ways: 1. Automatically: This option is available under settings, and when selected, triggers the "sharing" of an inspection as soon as it is created. 2. Manually: This option is available on each Plan and Inspection. You can choose to share an inspection at any point of time during or after an Inspection. The share / un-share buttons are available inside each inspection or plan on the left-hand side menu.
6. Basic and Reference Dimensions Basic dimensions are now shown within square brackets e.g. [1.500] Reference dimensions are now shown within round brackets e.g. (4.500)
These changes apply to the 1factory screens and to all output reports. Pass/Fail is not determined for either Basic or Reference dimensions.
7. FAI, AS9102 - Multiple Parts: FAI Standard and AS9102 reports can now be created for up to 10 parts per FAI.
Retired / Deprecated Functionality: We retired the calculated specs functionality. We intend to redesign and implement this capability differently. NEW - WEEKLY TRAINING SESSIONS:We will soon be scheduling a monthly New Feature training session. All customers (both free trial and paid) are welcome to attend these sessions to learn more about new features, and have any product questions answered. We also welcome a dialog around feature improvements. Please look out for an announcement email shortly.
As always, we are available to answer any questions. We also welcome any feedback related to these or other changes. You can reach us at the email or number below.
