feedback, which has led to improvements within our software to continue to make your business processes more efficient & effective. We greatly appreciate the time and effort you took in putting together this feedback.
We are listing the
most important changes below:
1. Approved Vendor List (AVL)1.1 Adding new suppliersRecently, we have made the Supplier AVL available to all users of
1factory. For users that previously did not have the AVL tile we have moved the supplier category in the List of Values, to the "Supplier AVL" tile.

Our hopes is that this allows you to identify risks and opportunities within your supply chain.

With this setting turned on the supplier qualification and certification(s) status will tie into how a supplier is used within other product features such as receiving plans, FAI's & inspections.
Approved: Supplier will have zero flags within the software.
Conditional: Supplier will be flagged during inspections & plan creation.
Disqualified: Supplier will be flagged during inspections and unable to be added to a new part plan.
Past due qualification/certifications: Supplier will be flagged during inspections & plan creation.
2. Drawing RevisionsWe have always given
1factory customers a tool to create plans from a revised drawing without having to start from scratch each time a drawing is revised. We are excited to announce that we have further enhanced this feature to detect features which have been revised or added during the revision process.
Features that have been revised, will be flagged with a green border around the feature.
3. Gage Labels We have added a feature that you allow a user of
1factory to print a barcoded label of each gage managed within
1factory. Our hope is that this will allow for easier transactions when issuing and returning gages from the shop floor.
4. ITAR DrawingsMany of you have asked for higher level security on ITAR related drawings. As always,
1factory has taken this feedback and developed an ITAR encryption setting for these types of drawings. Drawings which have this level requirements can be encrypted with an internal password which a admin of the company can set within the settings. This will only allow internal users, who possess the encryption key, to see these types of drawings within
1factory.

1factory cannot retrieve the password or the BALLOONED print. All inspection data tied to an ITAR drawing is still accessible in this event.
5. Software Validation To better meet the requirements of our medical device manufacturers,
1factoryis pleased to announce that we now offer software validation. Companies which require software validation per ISO 13485, will be on a separate validated server and provided validation scripts from
1factory initially and upon future releases.
