This article will detail the steps to incorporate a feature into your plan, requiring data in both attribute and variable formats.
Important Note: Enabling Dual Data Type is a configurable setting that requires assistance from a 1factory representative. If your organization is interested in this feature, please reach out to your 1factory representative or email support@1factory.com for further assistance.
Step 1:
After selecting a specific feature or a group of features within your plan that require editing, you'll have the option to designate the data type for each feature at the inspection level.
Illustrated below is an instance involving an inside diameter measurement. During the Set-up phase, this measurement will be assessed using a numeric data type through Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). However, during in-process and final inspections, the inside diameter will be evaluated using pin gages, employing a Pass/Fail data type. The term "[DEFAULT]" pertains to the preconfigured data type for the feature, which, in this example, is set to numeric.
Step 2:
After you have finished developing the plan, you are now ready to do inspections against the plan with dual data types. Below are two examples of the feature in step #1 being inspected.
